In today's era, technology is rapidly evolving and as a result, manual tasks are fading into oblivion. With each passing day, new technological advances are being introduced in various sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, health, among others. The latter has been the case Trenes de Chile (EFE)<\/a>, which through SCO Solutions SAP Solutions, has transformed the way of carrying out its daily currency transformation activities with the Central Bank of Chile, thanks to an automation process executed in its SAP Ecosystem.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Administration and Finance Management requested to automate the process of loading the exchange rates that are reported daily by the Central Bank, minimizing the risk of human error by manually carrying out the process of the different types of currencies used by EFE, through the use of excel sheets. Currency exchange rates are frequently used by the industry, the daily indicators published by the Central Bank are used to carry out different financial and commercial operations, so making an improvement in this module of the organization has become a requirement. critical. The manual process is represented by the following graph:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The process to obtain the information of the series of currencies from the Central Bank automatically and that are loaded directly into SAP was implemented through an integration that will establish communication with a WEB Service exposed by the Central Bank of Chile with SAP ECC from from which the information of the data series that is required to be loaded into the system is obtained. Once the information of the data series to be loaded in SAP was obtained, a development was implemented that loads said data in the system and is reflected in the OB08 transaction, in addition to notifying the users involved via email.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
